Novice here, a shortfall of 36 billions dollars accumulated since 2021 (the death of founder)? I don’t understand if you declare at 36 billions what stop you to declare at 100 billions ? and Why you don’t declare at 1 billion.

Not that they’ll be paying attention, or understand the implications, but this could prove to be a very good lesson in what would happen to the US economy if Republicans keep playing chicken with the debt ceiling.
