I’m surprised they haven’t suggested we arm all officers as a complete overhaul to complete their transition into a more tyrannical surveillance state.
I know this sub decided Chris Kaba deserved to die a long while back but they should at least oppose Braverman trying to allow armed police immunity from prosecution – that why it’s important wait for the trail to end and the footage to be viewed by a jury before people jump to conclusions.
There cannot be any hint of immunity or presumption against prosecution. There are certainly changes that need to be made to the timescales of investigations though.
Old people only care about the triple lock pensions and come from an out look of, “ I got canned in my day and it did us no harm” in truth, it attracted angry men that had been beaten as children by angry parents, who thought violence was the only way to punish and discipline children, as it happened in all schools.
Violence doesn’t bring discipline, it just brings even more violence, so anymore who tells me in my day, kids didn’t misbehave, they did as they had fathers who hit mothers and kids alike and it was socially ok, I didn’t even mention the police’s attitude to violence but I’ll let people guess and it wasn’t a very nice one. Even tv programs, normalised it.
They should let it go through. We could with a few police shootings of unarmed civilians to put the current state of the Force into perspective.
