  1. I mean, I’ve been trying to buy and they usually fill viewings the day it’s posted. I’ve had to make offers without viewing just to get my foot in the door. I believe this number.

  2. Not according to the property I’ve got up for sale at the moment!

Been getting viewings, but only had one offer, which was derisory!

  3. say estate agents as they rub their hands in glee and have a big smile on their faces. Means they will continue to tell the sellers to add an extra 10k on the price.

  4. I don’t know if this is really the case. But what is the case, is the government, and indeed most people with money in properties already have zero incentive to cause enough home building to satisfy demand.

Of course we”ll see tweets of ministers proudly saying ‘we’re buidling more (shitty) homes here and here’, blah blah, and they are, just nowhere near enough to satsify the amount of people who need them.

  5. Couple of weeks from paying off the mortgage now after selling my second property. Kinda thinking I should have asked £10k more. Still, not everyday you feel that feel of ownership. £650k under your belt. Happy days.

  6. Bought at 29 5 years ago, a relative died to make the purchase possible otherwise we’d still be saving now.

It was bought at 153k, we are fortunate but purchased below the UK average. Look at the prices now, If we were in the same position now we’d be further behind maybe 10 years away…

  7. That’s a very polite way of saying that young people without inheritance or financial backing are fucked
