Bought this non-alcoholic Glögi in Finland and would like a recommendation on the best alcohol to use when heating it on the stove. What do you use?!

Just don’t boil it! Not even let it get to that. And remember alcohol evaporates before the water in the Glögi.
Fireball is a good one
1 TaKe a drink of vodka
2 heat the glögi but dont boil it
3 add vodka to your taste
4 drink
5 repeat
I suggest red vermuth. I had some laying around last year and tought to combine it to my glögi. Amazing.
koskenkorva
Jägermeister
Any good red wine does the job. Heat glögi first, dont boil, pour in mug, add wine and almonds and raisins to your taste.
Cheap red wine
I prefer Disaronno. Just a little bit of it.
Nice bottle selfie 😉
how much is it?

Regular vodka, or port wine.
I would heat it up and then mix it with vodka when you pour it to mug.
Vodka, set aflame, pour over sugar.
Vodka, Captain Morgan rum
The star is a clue. Can’t go wrong with jaloviina.
2 parts glogi, 2 parts fruity red wine, 1 part Vana Tallinn. (If you don’t have Vana Tallinn, put in spiced rum, sugar and a vanilla stick).
Add cinnamon sticks, raisins and if you like cardamom pods and/or star anise. If you want it a bit sweeter, try putting in a bit of orange juice
Hope you got Koskenkorva with it 🙂
Jallu aka Jaloviina
Triple secCointreau or other orange liqueur is my new favourite! Just add it after you have warmed up the glögi, don’t let it reach boiling temperature!
Anything 40% alcohol or more. I use Koskenkorva.
who’s the handsome guy in the reflection
The bar I work at we always heated it and added a shot of Koskenkorva, a shot of Disaronno, orange peel and optional scoop of raisins and almond slivers
Absolut vodka
Vodka.
Koskenkorva vodka
Rum or cognac
You seem to have all the red wine in the world in the background. Use that.
Dark Rum is a family favourite!
Red wine and some whiskey along with raisins, candied ginger, orange peel, clove, etc… spice it up!
I heard an interesting drink idea from a friend: glögg, red wine and Coce. Just heat the soda together with the wine and glögg and add some sugar if you like the drink to be sweeter.
I tried mixing with fireball and it was oddly horrific.
https://youtu.be/8v1PxuRAShg I hope this helps as a frame of reference.
Dark rum FTW.

I made it without the alcohol, added almond slices and a few raisins to the cup instead. it was the best glögi I’ve had in a long time.
Any vodka. Any amount that fits for you. You want strong, make strong. Want light, just a splash.
Matter of taste ultimately.
