Hi all,

I would like to build a camper myself.
I would use my existing trailer as base for it ([https://unitrailer.de/ger_pl_PKW-Anhanger-kippbar-236×125-Garden-Trailer-236-Flachplane-3689_6.jpg](https://unitrailer.de/ger_pl_PKW-Anhanger-kippbar-236×125-Garden-Trailer-236-Flachplane-3689_6.jpg))
The camper I would aim for could look like that: [https://www.newsledge.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/timberleaf-teardrop-camper.jpg](https://www.newsledge.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/timberleaf-teardrop-camper.jpg)

However, I’m struggling to figure out what is allowed in Finland and what now.
Assuming I stay in the allowed weight limit and dimensions, what else do I need to consider? Do I need to “register” the camper somewhere or get approval?
Do you know from where I could get some info regarding this project.

Thanks for your help!

Regards
S.

  1. I guess nearest inspection station(“katsastusasema”) knows what you can do with approval and reinspection.

  2. Make the camper part removable, at least in theory. Also stay in the weight limit and you will be fine. Mp need to re-register.
