Most of the world has a steep demographic crisis right around the corner.
China is completely screwed due to the “one-child policy” that gutted the population for some 30 yrs. Those children would now be old enough to productive and able to support their retiring boomer-aged people.
Russia’s problems came about more naturally. People stopped having babies after the collapse of the Soviet Union when times were very uncertain.
In both cases, it is far too little and too late to reverse the situation.
