When I spent a week volunteering for the Scottish Wildlife Trust on an island nature reserve to the north of Scourie (Handa Island, it has some great scenery), the Scourie Spar was like, the last chance to buy any food or other supplies.
I remember the time when the SWT ranger left the island on the wednesday morning, to travel to Inverness and back for the last boat, and was going to stop at Scourie, one of the other volunteers asked for “20 Club”. Last boat of the day, ranger is on it. “Couldn’t get any Clubs, so I got Kitkats instead”. Hilarity.

Not Scotland, and it’s sadly closed now, but this place used to be decent.
