Yet Russia is trying to push the propaganda of the front not moving and nothing happens, Ukraine should seek a deal etc. Reality check: Russia is loosing so bad that it is only a question about time before a local revolt at the front.
What is so amusing is that while Ukraine did sustain losses, the ratio of Ukraine lives to russian loves is absolutely insane. In some conflict, Ukraine just destroyed Russians and their equipment from miles away without having to put any of their men in harms way to do so.
Ukraine had designed and built such good defensive positions that hundreds of Russians died with no one loss of life on Ukraines side.
Remember the gun emplacement that held off and killed hundreds of Russians for many days, and when Russians reached it, it was a few remote controlled machine guns.
Ukraine is really saving the lives of their men while destroying these large numbers of Russians.
And remember, these numbers do not count russian lives lost from attacks deep inside temporarily occupied Ukraine.
I stand by my opinion that this like so many other areas of the front were traps to ambush Russians in large numbers with their armoured vehicles..
Ukraine learnt a valuable lesson in Bakhmut, that while they may lose a small town bombed into rubble , they are able to destroy significant numbers of Russians and more importantly there equipment, look how Wagner were so weakened they had to withdraw from the front lines after Bakhmut.
I truly wonder where the end is here. Does Putin keep sending young men to death until there is no one left?
The general Russian population has to be feeling this amount of loss by now. I know the kremlin propaganda machine is strong, but im sure the majority of Russians are thinking to themselves…. what is all of this death for?

Unfortunately, this is a luxury that Putin has and he doesn’t care about loses. He will continue to throw more meat at the meat grinder to prolong this war to the point (he hopes) where the support for Ukraine starts to dry up. Western Europe needs to fire up their industrial base and go balls in. They have to stop playing footsie with Putin.
Avdiivka is what Bakhmut would have looked like if Russia hadn’t had Wagner, and Ukraine had had cluster munitions and a ton more FPV drones at the time.

Putin doesn’t care and neither do Russians. This is not a democracy with an opposition party and anti war rallies. The only lesson learned by Russia from WWII is that if you take a few tens of millions of casualties, eventually you win.
This war is over when every last Russian in Ukraine is killed and not a moment sooner.
