  1. Bullshit. Stop saying that EVERY Ukrainian loss is a decoy.

  2. The blue flap on the wings fully covers the air intake, not what a real Su-25 should look like

  3. The cockpit kind of gives it away as well, looks like plywood painted black

  4. I’m no expert, or frankly even an enthusiast, of aircraft… but that looks pretty real. If it’s not real, it must be costly as fuck anyways.

  5. It’s a labour/cost-intensive way to divert a drone.

I guess the ‘win’ is a high value target – especially a manned one – didn’t get hit.

  6. That looks very expensive, but I guess what counts is it is only a fraction of the cost of a real Su-25.

  7. The trick is to somehow track the signal back to it’s origin and send a 155mm greeting.

  8. It does seem like a lot of time and money to waste a single Lancet UAV.

  9. 35k for a lancet. That seems cheap.

We could buy like 1,000,000 of them for 35,000,000,000 and launch all of them at once at moscow.

    BOOM! War ended. Youre welcome.

This is why they need to hire redditors.

  10. I’m curious how a drone is able to loiter like that above an airfield without being targeted by some kind of AA..

  11. The real question should be how they manage to use a Lancet that far behind Ukie lines AND a spotter drone.

  12. That’s a really nice decoy, unless you’re into aviation you probably wouldn’t be able to notice even with the zoom-in.

The damage doesn’t even really matter, just patch the holes with some wood, repaint it and boom the decoy is good as new.

  13. All that effort to make a good decoy, and Russia hit it with a $500 drone. Seems like a wasted effort.

  14. spent $35k to destroy $1,500 of paint and wood. That’s before all the resources and time are taken into consideration. Basically $50k down the drain.

  15. I imagine decoys have to be quite high quality these days with how good surveillance is

  16. If you pause at 00:05 for a brief moment, there is some drone metadata

This confirms that this is Dolgintsevo airfield, the spotter drone is looking at the base from the east side of the airfield.

  17. Decoy or not a chain link pen and rolled fence would stop most of these drones from hitting targets like that.

  18. If you freeze this at the right place – around 0.17 – for an instant there’s a frame of a file directory bottom left, Anyone read Cyrillic script? Only bits in English are music related.

  19. The decoy was made by ruzzians, it was put somewhere in ruzzia and they made this video for their brainwashed people.

This video is just pure propaganda.
