So I’m planning to visit [Tromso](https://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g190475-Tromso_Troms_Northern_Norway-Vacations.html) this year and I am struggeling to choose the right time to go. I’ve got a few options on my hand which are:
-) End of October/Beginning of November
-) Beginning of December
-) Beginning of January
Activities I want to do are:
-) Hunt for Northern Lights
-) Whale safaries
-) General exploring of the nature and the city
-) Generall activities for young adults
I don’t really care if it’s full of snow or a green/brown landscape (I think both are beautiful in their own way). I am just interested in the “best” time to go there in terms of my available options (your opinions with explanaitons).
If you want to know more about my idea of what this trip is supposed to be feel free to ask.
Otherwise I am looking forward to your answers.

If you want to see the Aurora Borealis, december or january. You want as much dark as posible.
Beginning of January is the better option. It’s still dark, but the weather can be more stable/cold/dry. You can’t see the aurora when it’s raining, and November is usually quite wet.
Haha tromso sounds funny without the ø
