Stand there with your hand around the gap from now until the end of time
Buy an adjustable p trap, it’ll give you the extension at the top needed to connect to the basin waste. It’s a compression fitting on the waste pipe and easy to replace. Somewhere like screw fix or toolstation will keep these, use McAlpine if you can, part code you need is ASA10
Cling film
It’s fine mate, just let gravity do its work.
Are you sure that elbow connector’s not been put on the wrong way round? Swap it over and it looks like the trap will meet the waste without a problem.
I’m sure you can get a Bluetooth adapter for these
I think you need to connect the white thing to the metal thing.
Pringles tube and some duct tape. Jobs a good’un.
Go to the pub, purchase your choice of drink, then purchase some more, and soon you’ll forget about it all and the world will be well.
Get a funnel and some duct tape
Plumbings just fuckin lego, innit? Water lego.
Looks like the back bit is a sliding/adjustable pipe. Have you tried just pulling it up?
Funnel
Yeah, you gotta get that thingy that connects that thing to the other thing… and some plumbers tape and some Vaseline (to check for leaks -or is that just with gas?)
What is my favourite DIY tools?
A phone and google.
Call a tradesperson (look at me with the gender neutral term)
What happened? Had it been connected before?
Take both parts off. We will label them J (because it’s shaped like a J) and the spare part.
See that J part? Connect that to the top in its current standing position.
See that spare part? Turn it around.
You currently have side B of the spare part connected to J.
You want side A of the spare part connected to J.
The spare part is longer on one side.
You have connected the wrong end.
I think you should take off and nuke it from space.
