  1. ‘If we don’t protect the rich and privileged who will?’

    Cornyn and Cruz bolt vote.

  2. When a billionaire dies, who inherits all his senators?

  3. Wow. They’re seriously afraid of what these guys might say under oath.

  4. Cornyn usually stays below people’s radar because Rafael Cruz is such a tool, but he is every bit as despicable.

  5. In Ted’s defense, he thought it was about to get cold and he wanted to beat the rush to Cancun.

  6. Some people are above the law in the US. They just are. Clarence Thomas will never face consequences for his corruption because Senate Republicans won’t lift a finger to hold him accountable. If this was a supermajority Democrat senate, or if this was a liberal justice, there would be accountability. The law only applies to people in power if the opposite party has a supermajority. Otherwise, the law doesn’t apply. What a great system. /s

  7. GOP: OH HELL NO!!! We can’t have that guy under oath!

  8. Oh no their owner isn’t going to like this. I’m guessing he’ll just ignore it and the GOP will say we tried. The SCOTUS is in his front pocket so no consequences for ignoring the subpoena.

  9. Speaking of this, has anyone even seen Ron Johnson lately?

  10. Crow is a major donor to every Republican on the Senate Judiciary committee, not surprising that they would be upset

  11. Dems should just play by Republican fantasy rules.

No quorum? Issue the subpoenas anyway.

No Senate Republicans will vote to enforce the subpoenas? No problem. If Republicans could gather secret police to bash heads at BLM protests, Dems can do the same thing to enforce subpoenas.

Show the fascists a taste of their own medicine. See how they like it. This “When they go low, we go high” stuff sounds great, but it’s getting us nowhere except closer to authoritarian minority rule.

  12. Look, Ted’s busy. He’s got a few podcasts to sit on a couch for

  13. So who wants to bet that these two sleaziods have either gotten free trips, lots of money. Or Crow has bought someone’s house or motor home and given it to his good old boy friends in the Senate.

  14. Ted probably just left because he thought it was going to snow.

  15. This Crow/Thomas shit has to be some of the most brazen corruption I’ve ever seen take place in our government. It makes me sick that we’re in a system that leaves virtually everyone powerless to correct this.

  16. Republicans tried to deny Democrats a quorum by walking out. How pathetic can they be?

  17. I don’t think it’s right to call Raphael Cruz “Ted” when he is so against people choosing preferred pronouns that he wants to make it illegal.

“Ted” is his chosen name, and he should be forced to drop it, as continued mis-naming him threatens the rule of law.

If there is a big enough grassroots uprising, the press will soon follow.

  18. Wonder how much Crow paid them to walkout in “protest”. Free RV’s all around . . . .
