I can’t even begin to express how monumental this fuckup was from Israeli leadership/intelligence. They had an entire year with this information ffs. The document seems to claim that the purpose of the attack would be to take over Israeli cities. That is not what happened on October 7.
Seems like the lesson is, if you have specific intelligence, and your reaction is “they couldn’t possibly do that”, maybe humble yourself a bit and prepare for it anyway. Don’t underestimate your enemy.
