We don’t really know anything about him, but he was a Hungarian American we don’t know if born in Hungary or USA. Not sure if it’s him speaking but he recorded this record in North Carolina with some people. This sounds like a jam session or practice. Found this album in storage in the attic. I’m curious what the person talking is saying. If anyone can translate thx
My great grandfather recorded this album in 1946, can someone translate some of it?

Jokes aside:
Puskas – festival music (“mulatós” shortened I guess )
Hezo-Laczi vezetése melet(!sic) : lead by Hezo-Laczi (a surname)
Hudak Antal kontra : contrabass is a string instrument, Antal Hudak was playing it on the record
John – Puskas czimbalmozik: John Puskas is the name of the artist, cimbalom is an instrument called hammered dulcimer, Puskas is playing it
Dulcmer with a contrabass and (I’m guessing) a lead violin is a fairly typical setup for traditional east-european gypsy/folk music bands.
Great find, thanks for sharing.
