I know some posties have bets about who can keep wearing shorts the longest.
To show off their unnaturally hairless legs.
I wondered this for years and then I asked one of them. It’s in case of rain – legs dry off a lot quicker than trousers.
I go out for a 30-minute walk and feel hot and sweaty by the end,normally have stripped down to t-shirt. If I were a postie, I’d be in shorts all the time, too. I hate being hot.
