Some lovely wind up work from the King, who is obviously half Greek.
Charlie’s taking a leaf out of his mums book lol.
And is he really the same height as Sunak?
Love it.
Can almost imagine Sunak thinking “You old bastard” in that photo, too!
Perfect move, tbh.
He has the perfect excuse due to his heritage even though we all feel like it’s a dig at having to deliver THAT King’s Speech.
Every time I see something else he’s done, he grows on me more and more. And I genuinely never thought I would say that.
Look at this little shit trying to make a big story to wash away the stories about racism and him getting the dead’s cash…..
Who gives a shit lol. The “king” wears a tie oooh
Good man.
Can you imagine the drama if Greece was holding bits of Stonehenge and refusing to return them?
Stop calling the Parthenon Marbles by the name of a thief & plunderer. (And this coming from someone enamored with the Museum and Classic history).
Can we just give them back, does anyone care I think I walked right past them last time I was in the “British” museum
Out of cultural respect it would be good if Britain started repatriating imperial era artifacts to their original locations. It’s not like the Parthenon is in a war zone.
Why is the king undermining the country he lives in?
I know he’s part Greek but he isn’t king there.
First the marbles, now the King’s stealing their ties too!
The monarch should, quite obviously, not be getting involved in politics. Not directly, not on the sly, not ever.
What is the point of having a monarch if he isn’t going to be loyal to his own country?
Time to demonstrate parliamentary sovereignty.
I’m very pro international museum’s rights to their exhibitions, but that should probably be superceded by the artefact’s own wholeness. There is literally a space in the parthenon where those statues are missing. I’m not saying they should really belong to the Hellenic Republic, but to themselves.
If he abolished the monarchy, I’d finally start liking him
How about a two for one deal, Greece gets the Marbles and the money grubbing racist prick Charles III?
One of the arguments that’s often used for retaining the monarchy is that “they are politically neutral”
That argument has now died, never to be resurrected.
