For those who think Irn Bru tastes like bubblegum, Barr already make a bubblegum flavour drink as well and this is what bubblegum tastes like. Irn Bru tastes entirely different

  1. Years ago I worked in a place where we always kept juice in the workshop and sold it for 50p a can, with the profits going towards the Christmas night out every year, the auld labourer we had ran it and generally took charge of keeping everything stocked up. One month he came in with the usual 20 or so slabs on cans, one of them being Barr’s bubblegum, which none of us had ever tried before. To a man we all thought it was absolutely rank, we couldn’t even give it away.

That juice actually outlived Auld Iain, he died about 18 months later and we still had some of that juice in the store.

  2. Irn Bru tastes like Orange; not the fruit, just the colour. Idk lol.

Bubblegum flavour gives me the boak.

  3. Bubble gum is all different flavours, not just one standardised taste.

  4. Two things can be flavoured, say, apple, and taste very different. The existence of this drink doesn’t mean Irn Bru isn’t also bubblegum flavoured.

  5. To the day I die I will maintain that Irn Bru used to say “*mixed fruits flavour”* on the bottles.

  6. The best way I can describe Irn Bru (the real stuff not the pish we get these days) is licking a metal girder thats part of a bridge that has been in contact with the sea, then immediately doing a ginger shot.
