Where can I buy ( if any) this cookies ( cake) without chocolate cover ?
Any brand.
Or it’s the only available version?

  1. I saw them at Aldi Süd. So probably most supermarkets.

  2. Store bought Baumkuchen ist typically covered in chocolate. To buy one without glaze you will have to look in bakeries or you have to make one yourself.

  3. Baumkuchenspitzen are usually sold covered in chocolate. If they would sell small pieces of Baumkuchen without any cover, it would dry up quickly and lose much of their flavour. In the picture you have a special form of Baumkuchen (soaked with eggnogg). There are no other variants apart from this one variety.

Other brands in supermarkets may contain no spirits or others like rum. But they will be sold only with the chocolate covers.

You can find whole Baumkuchen (or single rings) without chocolate or with a vanilla frosting at spezialised bakeries, like [https://www.grochunderben.de/](https://www.grochunderben.de/) or [https://kreutzkamm.de/baumkuchen-glasiert](https://kreutzkamm.de/baumkuchen-glasiert) or [https://www.baumkuchen-kaufen.de/Baumkuchen-Rohlinge:::6.html](https://www.baumkuchen-kaufen.de/Baumkuchen-Rohlinge:::6.html) – but they will be missing the eierlikör (eggnogg).
