  2. This article doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. BAM and the trans-siberian are two parallel routes to the far east, built exactly to have more than one alternative. While BAM might be out of action for some time, the trans-siberian should operate normally. For now…

    Ukraine hit a a railway tunnel crossing over to China with unknown levels of damage but the Russians aren’t going to wait until spring to repair a regular track getting hit in Siberia from bringing any supplies from North Korea/China.

    The one thing they have been consistently good at is repairing railways.
