Praising Thatcher, talking about being tough on immigration and “making tough financial decisions.” Add in that the shadow chancellor has the support of George Osborn, and the shadow health secretary wants more privatisation in the NHS, why should I vote for them apart from “they aren’t the tories”? They may not be exactly the same as them, but they’re going out of their way to imitate them in just about every area.
I’ve been waiting for Keith’s ritual act of self harm, he seems to do it whenever labour are doing well.
Blair’s most senior advisor, spin doctor and First Secretary of State Peter Mandelson once said ‘We are all Thatcherites now’.
And Starmer is ‘Blair’s heir’.
So, yeah.
Ugh. I’ll still be voting Labour because ‘anything but the Tories’ but I’m fully aware that I’m essentially voting for Diet Conservatives.
Anyone here still want to tell us he’s not a Tory?

He has to lie to bring back the thick “red wall” voters, they’ve been eating Tory gruel for 13 years and many still haven’t had enough and the country needs saving by whatever means necessary and I’ll still vote for the labour party (I have always supported Gordon Brown et Al).
