Trump Scottish golf resorts claimed over £3m in furlough

  1. Don’t you get it? It’s all part of Genius Don’s anti-‘socialism’ strategy. Take all their money and bleed it dry, thus collapsing it from the inside.

Come on guys, you got to think in 4D chess like 45 does!

    What a genius! ^/s

  2. I imagine due to the nature of the business it would have to have closed over this period so I don’t see why they wouldn’t have applied for Furlough? Trump’s a cunt sure but his businesses are exactly what the scheme was put in place for.

  3. Remember it’s ok for public funds to go back to businesses and millionaires who don’t pay (enough) tax. It’s just evil socialism when public money goes back to people or goes into organisations no-one can own shares in.

  4. Well they were forced to close by the government, they were entitled to money, like absolutely every business was. What’s the problem here?

  5. I don’t really get how this is some big story. Would people rather these people got laid off. Its not like the money was just pocketed. It just went straight to the employees

  6. That’s fine as long as these resorts and anyone in charge behind them is paying their full taxes without dodgy accounting. Safety nets should be available, we just need to ensure people stop trying to cut holes in them.

  7. Non story in its entirety. Regardless of what you think of trump, the money was available for all eligible businesses. As an entitled business it had every right as any other and the BBC should be condemned for publishing a story to provoke outrage like this.
