  1. Empire biscuit. Never heard of them called anything else

  2. I’ve never seen that before are they regional?

  3. That’s an empire biscuit …… because that’s no moon 😂

  4. Empire biscuit, but it’s a shit one, the good ones have a jelly sweet on the top

  5. Anyone not saying Empire Biscuit needs to be euthanised immediately

  6. Empire biscuit. Have also seen it called a Belgian biscuit and a German biscuit.

  7. Empire Biscuit. I don’t know how people can mistake it for a Bakewell Tart as it’s not a tart.

The usual jelly tot on top has been replaced with a cherry, making it a cherry empire biscuit.

  8. German Biscuit. Although I was in a Scottish coffee shop a few years back and asked for one only to be told, “It’s an Empire Biscuit, we won the war…” I was a little perplexed after that interaction!

  9. Empire biscuit, Lidl’s do the best ones in their bakery. It’s pretty big and the icing is thick 🤤

  10. Empire biscuit. Apparently prior to WW1 it was a German biscuit, for obvious reasons it was changed to be more “patriotic”.
