  1. Aren’t they now in a race with Switzerland to see which can be first to actually implement the legislation?

  2. “Using” cannabis is legal in some countries of the EU already and growing a personal plant too. What’s still illegal is selling

  3. That’s good news, like the prohibition on selling alcohol, illegal cannabis creates a market for gangs and criminals. They use that money to further expand their illegal activities.

Assure cannabis quality, add some taxes, and you replace gangs with an extra income to use on your favorite causes.

  4. Can’t say i get the appeal of it, but if people want to get high then sure why not and making substances like this illegal never works anyway

  5. Hopefully it gains traction for the rest of EU and others. Like as mentioned Switzerland also is in the process of legalizing it it seems and Germany has high chances too with the new government/coalition

  6. Germany will follow soon. All the parties of the new government agree on legalising Cannabis. But we’ll have to wait until after Coalition talks to see how exactly

  7. I just had my wisdom teeth out. It fucking sucks. I’ve been given a bunch of medications which are bad for my liver, stomach, and are addictive. I *could* have dealt with the pain with marijuana. Safe, cheap, and not physically addictive. It’s *crazy* that that’s not an option for at least pain relief here in Denmark.

  8. Meanwhile, in Spain, Personal consumption of cannabis is legal as long as you consume cannabis in private, including at members-only non-profit cannabis clubs. You can buy and use cannabis at the clubs, and you are allowed to grow up to two plants per household as long as they are out of public view.
