Nobody better than Mary for calling people out on their bullshit. Robbed of more influential roles because of it.
small-dick energy right there.
a manbaby scared of a strong smart woman.
He needs to cop on.
G’wan Mary, fuckin do him.
The good news is that we can replace the dated phrase of “catch 22” with COP28.
Why doesn’t Mary Robinson simply eat the weaker Sultana?
These billionaires laugh behind the scenes. His plan is to get enough cash to leave this planet and relocate. If our planet was a person it would be more humane to give them two in the back of the head when they’re not lookin.
>Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaber – who also heads state oil giant ADNOC – made the comments during a heated exchange with Mrs Robinson during an online forum last month.
And they say satire is dead.
A vampire in charge of a blood bank . Heard that on Newstalk last night and it’s fitting
Is it still considered a battle of wits if one of them is a halfwit?
Mary Robinson take a bow. You’ve done your country proud.
More balls on her than all the world leaders at the event.
This is akin to the rearrangement of the deck chairs on the titanic as it sinking. It’s a capitalist approach to climate change. Making an economy out of a crisis that is all goverments are interested in. The move away from fossil fuel to battery cars is not sustainable and not environmentally friendly. Furthermore, the extraction essential elements like lithium and more so cobalt employes horrendous working conditions and exploits the slave labour of women and children. ……and breath…..
He came across as someone who’d never been challenged on anything and incredibly patronising.
He even said: “I am the man in charge” at one point …
It’s a bit depressing tbh. These COP meetings and various other forums are just not going to achieve much at all. Points get made and ignored and it will just continue to drift into a mess.
The way I see it panning out is we’ll take action, but it’ll probably be far too late and it will be things like coastal defences, flood defences, irrigation systems etc etc in the countries that can afford to do that, and probably only after some very serious crisis even at that.
Poorer countries and those who are unlucky enough to be in harms way in terms of climate e.g. areas that will be hit hard by drought etc, are going to end up taking the brunt of this. The powers that be will all be sitting in some ski resort sipping brandy. That’s always the way.
He’s right though.
No hydrocarbons means no 1000L of lubricant per wind turbine per year.
Climate change hurts women more? Why do they always feel the need to throw this nonsense in? It hurts their argument
Our greatest President. So proud of her.
Both sides are exaggerated.
Has anyone a real world example of an Irish problem of how climate change is causing real harm?

I was asked this, but could not think of one.
