They have a system in votes on bills etc where the opposition would have someone not show up to vote either when a government TD was unavailable but I don’t think it applies to votes of no confidence.
Helen McEntee needs to go, and somehow the cabbage thinks that this behaviour is going to do the coalition favours in the public eye?
Do you not remember the scandal where TDs were being caught voting in the absence of other TDs. Yeah…they can’t be trusted.
Can we send an mep to the COP
Maybe I’m being naive but is the best course of action in this situation not emailing some kind of form to the Ceann Comhairle, clearly spelling out his vote, the CC then adds the vote to the tally? Keep a copy of the form for review to make sure nothing was changed?
Poor Eamon having to take a frivolous flight while also condemning us for taking holidays once a year.
Let me show you I’m a hypocrite ,without telling you I’m a hypocrite.
At least he can catch up on his sleep
Why can’t they not vote remotely?
We know the Minister will have enough support to prevent this motion from passing. So let’s park that for a minute.
But people arguing for the motion will claim that it’s important to have “on record” the votes of the TDs even though it won’t pass.
And so when a Minister has to travel to participate in the vote to have that vote on record, as is the case here, the same supporters who want the motion are critical of that happening too.
Not ideal, tell that to the climate.
Could he not ask Niall Collins to vote for him?
Can’t he just get another TD to vote for him? Not like they haven’t done that before
Are they having a laugh
They must be worried that FF will break ranks or something? They have the numbers so not sure why he needs to come back
It’s OK he’ll have his ministerial bicycle dropped down to the airport in the back of an SUV in time for the cameras. The man is a cabbage.
Green party’s in every country are a joke. They can’t hold themselves to the principals that they want us to hold too
