BT only keep these in place if they’re making a profit. How can a phone box make a profit if no one can get to it?
The bastards did it again, put something in front to stop people using it for off peak calls….. then forgot about it for 15 years

Sorry to be boring – but it’s very easy for spammers and scammers to spoof the sending number (CLI) on a phone call or text. Just as easy as is it to spoof an email address.
People calling from India for example can easily spoof a UK number.
