So 6 born in haburg and 5 outside of Germany. We have 11 here.

And then “Prosecutors had sought sentences of between one year and three months to three years for nine of the defendants, while defence lawyers sought acquittal for all 10.” so we have 10 again.

11 people were accused. One was acquitted, one was found guilty and the rest are under something called pre-parole which is a specific condition under german youth law. Their cases needs further judgment and will be judged again in 6 months which is when the court will decide if they go into prison and for how long. Until their next court date they are free but have to abide to the same conditions you would face if you got off with parole.
They arent acquited or got parole they are waiting for their trial to proceed.

How can the state deny the right to retaliation and at the same time behave this way in court? Seriously, the illegality of revenge is build on the idea that the state will care for justice, but it obviously doesn’t. So how can they reasonably argue that you shouldn’t take matters into ones own hand. Imagine how the parents feel about these 9 individuals
This isn’t a call for violence, but for actual justice by the state. Ra*ing a minor, there were times when they would have been executed on the spot, how did we get here.

German law needs to be reformed. There is still too much emphasis on protecting perpetrators and resocializing them.
No one should be shocked when the world shifts far right soon. You’re already seeing it in Argentina and in the Netherlands. It’s likely that if Trump does run again, he will get re-elected.
It’s stupid immigration policies, which include a failure to mandate that immigrants assimilate into the larger culture, giving immigrants a free pass at the expense of locals (free housing and not forcing them to work), and lax laws which won’t prosecute immigrants when they break the law which will be a big contributor in helping the far right get elected. I say this as a life long liberal, but one who understands there needs to be balance in our immigration policies.

I think we can safely say that Germany, like many other states in Western Europe, has made it clear that the government has no intention of protecting its citizens. The social contract has been nullified and now its just a matter of figuring out what to do about it. Anyone who thinks AfD and their ilk has any intention of protecting them has never heard of a country called Italy.
