Waiting for British Gas live chat, is an experience 😭

  1. Every other company on live chat, I put sound on and go into another window so I hear it ping when they finally respond. British gas I lasted about 2 minutes of it pinging every 10 seconds before I gave up on ever contacting them.

  2. Screen grab the journey and screen grab the time it took.

    I had a similar experience with Lloyds bank, which took three hours. I complained to their customer care department and they gave me £80.

    Complain to the customer care of British Gas and you might get money off your bill. Be a Karen and ask to speak with a manager and highlight how ridiculous it is.

  4. I spent 45 minutes in a live chat with them but I got a bill reduced from £200 to £35 🤷

    Moved into a new flat and they charged us £200 for 3 weeks of leccy in summer. we didn’t stay with them long

  5. Have you tried swearing? Did that before and got a rep pretty quick

  6. Ring them, it’s always faster and always a better service.

  7. Why don’t they do the thing that so many others do and leave them a message that they’ll reply to when it’s your turn?

  8. Sometimes I come here because I miss the UK, other times to be reminded why I left.
    Is there a reason why you can’t call? It’ll probably take a fucking age but still.
