It’s pretty obvious he isn’t running to only be there for 4 more years.
Cue the “both sides” posters who will try to disuade you from voting for Biden.

What’s left unspoken here is that he could not accomplish this on his own. It would require the aid and support of many more members of the Republican party.
The guy literally had a brain fart at his rally and said he literally was going to destroy Democracy. The Republican party members need to be loud enough to break through the misasma of misinformation infecting the country.
But… But… Biden did that one thing that one time so really both sides are just as bad!
Time to start preparing for the war I guess then, because personally I’m not living under a Trump autocracy.
Just a point that I haven’t seen anyone on tv mention. Remember that interview with Univisión where he said something along the lines of “if I see anyone running against me, I would tell the justice department to indict them”? I’ve seen plenty of comments about how it would be terrible for a president to abuse his power like that, but I didn’t see the bigger point mentioned: That’s Trump talking about running for a *third* term. In his hypothetical, he’d be running in an election, and he’d have control of DOJ, which can only mean he’d be running for a third term. It’s not an insinuation, or hyperbole, he’s explicitly saying he’ll run for a third term if elected in 2024. Here’s the full quote:

I mean, if somebody — if I happen to be president and I see somebody who’s doing well and beating me very badly, I say, ‘Go down and indict them.’ Mostly what that would be, you know, they would be out of business. But but Biden is old though. He’s a whole 3 years older than Trump.
She voted with Trump’s policy 93% of the time.
While I appreciate her concern, this is such classic “none of it mattered until it affected me personally” Republican bs.
She propped him up and enabled him.
She voted against Lewis’ voting rights bill and a number of other bills that would help safeguard our democracy.
She props herself up for book sales.
She’s still a Republican. She’s still selfish and opportunistic.
And even if he is not elected, he will not recognize it. The coup is ongoing. The justice system must intervene and determine the obvious…that he is not eligible because he participated in an insurrection.
Trump has made that very obvious

I agree with her.
I grew up conservative. I know what goes into that calculation. And I am, by some definitions, extremely conservative myself. But the Republican Party embrace of open authoritarianism and grievance politics has poisoned it forever. This is aside from the hypocrisy and just outright LIES.
It really is coming down to voting for democracy to continue or not. Biden has issues, but consider what WILL happen if these fucks get in office.

I would honestly like to understand the “how” with claims like this.
He just won’t leave, or there are THAT MANY people in government positions that would allow something like that to occur? The latter seems very impossible.
