The US has 402 million shells in storage right now. Just give them to Ukraine already.
Zaluzhnyi should either do his job or quit the military to enter politics. Him trying to have it both ways is not good for Ukraine.
The source “someone”
To be honest, 400 billion to wipe out Russias conventional military is still worth it.
The US was allocating hundreds of billions periodically to support its wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The impact of this 400 billion would go far and above what those two wars did.
I am for Ukraine, and I don’t have an opinion on who should lead the country. That said, it does feel like trying to avoid blame as a military general if you say you need way more resources than you will ever likely get. When you aren’t successful, you can just say, see, I told you I need X resources, and I didn’t get that, and that’s why I was not successful.
Zaluzhnyi doesn’t seem to understand the (yes, ridiculous) dance he needs to do with his western partners to continue to get resources.
And we would be fools not to provide them ASAP!
After all, *THAT IS* their ultimate intended purpose.
It never hurts to ask, but currently the Pentagon’s options might be rather limited. The only US ammo they can access without us congress is either of the 2 Amphibious Corps reserve stockpiles.
Trolololol not gonna happen tho
I want my government to give them.
Give him the shells.
Give him 100 million
We spent over 300 millions dollars a day in Afghanistan for 20 years. And we scoff at an actual battle for democracy and freedom. I’ve lost complete faith in this country
