  1. Isn’t that why Zelensky has ordered his guys to revise the conscription and mobilization arrangement to include mandatory leave/vacation?

  2. I mean, if the wives didn’t want them home that wouldn’t speak for them right?

  3. In WW2 you had a limit for pilots on how many missions you had to fly before you could go home. I don’t think the infantry had anything like that however. The future of the world was at stake so you had to stay until the war was over.

  4. If they come home and the russians move forward. Any who supported Ukraines government in those territories would be imprisoned for life or worse. Eventually half the country would be dead, in jail or a refugee.

  5. My grandfather left his new marriage for the Navy in 1942 and went to the Pacific. He didn’t see his wife again until 1946.

My four great-uncles and one of my great-aunts (female pilot ferrying planes to England) also left for the military in 1942. One uncle is buried in France. The rest did not come home until 1946 and 1947.

Ukraine is at war. Zelenskyy understands that his country should be in Total War, but he has to fight the corruption in his government and the pro-Russian complacency in far too many of his people.

In Total Mobilization, only the severely wounded and dead come home before the war ends (well … unless you are Russian, in which case you are left on the battlefield to rot after your comrades stole all of your stuff rather than treat your wounds).

  6. I don’t recall who it was but an expert stated to be on the lookout for this, Kremlin funded protests inside Ukraine; not saying this is, but the guy specifically warned of wives and mothers protesting.

  7. I don’t think these women understand what the Russians will do to them if Ukraine were to surrender.

  8. I love the little tiny snippet
at the bottom news/unconfirmed Or what we like to say in reality just some bullshi😂 I made up

  9. Any non-NATO eastern border nation facing down Russia in 2022-2023 (excepting Finland) would face the same challenges.

If Russia had gone east to take over Kazakhstan or Tajikistan, etc they would face the same issues.

I’m just pissed that Congress is going so slow. It’s obvious that Speaker Mike Johnson wants to split de-link Ukraine so he can squabble for 9 months on it and delay, and eventually defeat the bill. Then he can go to voters in the 2024 election and say “hey, we wanted strong border security, but Biden wouldn’t budge. And he wanted us to back Corrupt Ukraine, now they’ve lost the war. Vote for us and we’ll find border security.”

Solving either issue on Biden’s watch is not in Mike Johnson or the MAGAs’ interest going into the election. They don’t want Biden to take a victory lap.

  10. No. The Ukrainian Army is not slavery.

But life under Russian rule would be.

  11. Do those wives know what Russian Armies do to wives in the areas the conquer?

  12. If they go home, Russian soldiers are right behind them. And there’s no shortage of horror stories of what’s to follow.

  13. If they go home there will be no home to go to if Ukraine loses.

  14. Well this doesn’t seem like good optics. War weariness is very real in every conflict so I get it.
