I don’t see why they just don’t get some mountain lions or wolves to do the job.
We can’t come up with a way of controlling animal populations that isn’t brutally violent? The human species isn’t any better at controlling its population. Should aliens come and shoot us? Can’t we feed them some kind of birth control to limit the reproductive rates? Maybe the males could be caught and neutered. There has to be something better than shooting helpless animals from helicopters like some kind of sick sociopaths.
Another case of human meddling in nature, coming back to bite folks in the ass.
