  1. People like Magson are one of the biggest issues the NHS and more widely management structures throughout many industries have.

Theyre people that have been over promoted. They manage based on what they want to do, and if you don’t agree with them they make sure that you suffer. To be good, an idea needs to come from them. If you go around them to get an actually good Idea implemented they will simultaneously call you incompetent (or say as much to others in the org) while taking credit for your work.

Then after they’ve completely destroyed the morale of a workplace and driven away a load of talent. They’ll just hop off to their next management gig that they’ve got lined up before the consequences come in.

  2. Having had the experience of working for a woman very reminiscent of Magson the Doctor has my sympathy. These people are relentless and I applaud her for pursuing justice. I hope she enjoys her retirement and uses the compensation to do something she enjoys away from bullies.

  3. £3.2M is a nice payout and one that I think Ranson 100% deserves to put towards investments and comfortably enjoy an early retirement on. She did everything right in her duty as a doctor, unlike those who actually called the shots during COVID.

Ms Magson sounds like one of those management ghouls that really should be struck off for her incompetence, but we all know that she’s past the point where you actually get fired for serious failings and will just fail upwards into promotions instead.

Give it five years and she’ll probably be a director.

  4. I can’t deny that her treatment was unprofessional.
