Not sure if anyone has posted about this yet, but this idiot has posted a completely unfounded claim that a Bangladeshi family rocked up and were given a 3 bedroom apartment on arrival. Her proof of this is a facebook post which shows some forms that don’t mention any kind of accommodation. The spreading of lies is getting out of hand when even our elected officials are promoting nonsense like this. Her Twitter friends were posting about the poor child that was knife attacked being dead and that it’s all a cover up, which was proven to be nonsense yesterday. She should be turfed out of her position for this.

Pretty sure if we created our own post about ‘Romulans’ being given 3bedroom in Dublin City with €500 a week in support. We could get one of these idiots to spread it all.

There is a community note waiting for others to vote it through and it’s just been sitting there for days while this muppet is spreading misinfo. If you can I would suggest signing up to do community notes even if you don’t write any you can rate them and it would mean shit like this gets called out quicker.

This is not misinformation. This is very common.
One case I was involved, a check of their passports revealed long stay visas as critical skills and spouse of same in the UK. The day after they came to Ireland.
When we enquired as to why there’s no Irish stamp in their passport they revealed they came through Belfast airport and a friend drove them down. Garda Immigration stated that this is very common.
Loads of FG types are buying up properties in cities across Ireland that are being leased to IPAS for far above market rates.
Mark my words there will be a Tribunal into that in years to come.
Things are so bad with the immigration enforcement that applicants are very open about abusing the system because they know there are not only zero legal consequences, but they’ll be looked after when they get here given permission to remain.
Elected officials should face swift consequences for spreading misinformation. I can’t go around in my job in an official capacity telling people lies, there’s no reason for it to be acceptable at the highest levels of power

Misinformation or not you have to look at why she’s doing it. There’s an audience out there for it and that audience is going to continue to grow for as long as the Government piles the pressure on these communities.
