  1. The government are clearly using this as a tool to gain more legal powers.

  2. I’m more inclined to believe McEntee on this one. We’ll see.

  3. X also denies that advertisers have their content popping up next to nazi propaganda, which we can see happening with our own eyes. Unfortunately McEntee is in the right on this

  4. I am inclined to believe McEntee in this situation but she said that she talked to a detective.

Could we please have an inquiry on what happened before we agree that we need to have additional intervention by the state?

  5. For once I’m with McEntee on this one, there was so much misinformation & racist stuff on Twitter & still on it since the day the riots broke out! One guy still has up that the attacker went into a crèche & stabbed 5 children.

Also the same company which has advertisers pulling out because it’s advertisements are appearing next to Nazi crap!

  6. She needs to go back to the robot factory for reprogramming

  7. Sounds like the Garda have methods to informally request content be taken down, and that McEntee conflates these methods with formal requests. If so, she has bitten off more than she can chew with this one and has a fair bit of explaining to do.

  8. They’re both liars. Elmo Musk should fuck off and stop sticking his nose into our country. It’s ironic right wingers say George Soros and the WEF are interfering in Ireland but are begging Elon Musk to interfere

  9. From Gavan Reilly:

“Taoiseach tells the Dáil he was also present when Gardaí told Helen McEntee that X was not cooperating with Garda requests to remove some material. “Minister McEntee has sought a meeting with that platform and wants to discuss with them what was said to Gardaí,” he tells the Dáil”

  10. Twitter has 0 credibility, as does Musk. Time for legal consequences. Not just fines, but jail time.

  11. In the end it will come down to X not engaging as much or as quickly as they liked.
