Who are the Tá (and one abstain) within all the Níl?
I didn’t expect it to pass.
However it shows exactly what FFG think of us.
Political stunts is all
Was always gunna pass
Sinners knew that
What a pity, what will it take to make this government fall.
65% is a good majority. I don’t understand what I can take away from this other than SF doesn’t seem to know what a winning hand should look like.
In the time since the riots, theres been people attacked with machetes, young lad put in a coma, bikes robbed in broad daylight, pedos get off while stoners get locked up, people afraid to go out.. Could go on and on, complete cowards. As much as a pantomime this vote was it still shows what FFG think of the people here. Non stop attacks on SF whom I’m no fan of but never once acknowledging the complete shit job McAntee is doing.
Helen McEntee deserved to go, and I sorely wished that Fianna Fail did a backstab on Fine Gael and kicked her out. Her inability to keep on the ball when Dublin burns to focus on hate speech laws should be enough to have no confidence.
If children being stabbed on yer watch can’t do it, nothing will. Edit: are ffg just the one party now? They don’t seem to disagree much.
After watching the debate I’ve learned that apparently the IRA are responsible for the lack of Gardai and the rise in antisocial behavior. And if SF get into government Voldemort will return…
I was reminded of this saying:
> ”If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts. If you have the law on your side, pound the law. If you have neither on your side, pound the table.”
FG and FG were pounding the table!
It’s kind of disgusting that both parties will say and do anything to stay in power. They’re going to go the way of the labor party if they keep this up.
Worth noting that McEntees’ approval rating with the public is higher than the opposition leaders that voted no confidence in her
The Everything’s Ok Alarm is sounding. Everything must be ok.
What is the fucking point with this lot in power. They do not give a shit.
A predictable, albeit disappointing outcome.
Did anyone expect anything less. It’s asking turkeys to vote for Xmas. The next step was an election
The dumbest most pointless shit that Sinn Fein have tried to pull since they ran in a general election without enough candidates to actually win the thing.
Somebody needs to explain how these vote thingies work to Sinn Fein.
Is this the final straw to for people yet?
I shudder to think what would need to happen for FFG to actually vote for no confidence in McEntee.
And I’m scared we are going to find out.
There will be people surprised by this.
Same people would probably be surprised to learn the opposition voted no confidence in the minister!
Can we get a name check on this, as well as those that voted the same for Darragh O’Brian not too long ago (who has since gone on to continue with the same, while also openly mocking those with no homes to go to because of him)?
If I was running against any of that shower, I would be going out of my way to make it crystal clear that the state of the nation with regards to crime, antisocial behaviour, rent, housing in general and placating the far right with a ‘hands off’ approach is something that the other candidate was fully confident in and supportive of, and would be in touch with others running to do the same.
This was a foregone conclusion, but only for the simple reason that this government cares absolutely nothing for the people of this country and only hold loyalty to their friends and parties.
