  1. The UN wasn’t silent, they just had to wait a few months to determine if rape is a bad thing.

  2. 1. Lately, it’s hard to tell what is and what isn’t just plain straight up propaganda. From either side.
    2. If we’re going to get into a fight over atrocities, well, there’s plenty to go around. There are no heroes in this conflict. Save for ordinary citizens of Israel and Palestine who have suffered through no fault of their own because some people like to consolidate power through cultivating conflicts and rage.

  3. Israel doesnt seem to have a problem with silence over 5000 kids killed and counting? Can’t have it bought ways…..Unless you believe one side doesnt matter

  4. The Security Council tried to speak out but due to differences among its members it was reduced to a point where everyone agreed but it was more like saying nothing.

The best we got was a temporary ceasefire, and now that the ceasefire has ended, the war will continue because someone didn’t want it to stop without accomplishing an impossible goal.

  5. What silence? It got bbc, nyt, and major news network coverage as far as I can tell

  6. Probably because it’s difficult to see past the pile of Palestinian corpses now.

  7. multiculturalism, how can you judge another culture? even if they rape women, it is their culture.

hamas is also the weak side in this conflict, and what does conventional morality say about weak vs strong? the underdog is the moral. hamas is weak, so it can do whatever it wants to the strong.
