Well, whatever he’s doing I think he has a good reason for it.
I trust his judgement!
Does the US even wants / affords to support Ukraine at the same level as before?
As I’ve seen more and more americans not being very happy about this.
It’s expected that today’s vote for Israel+Ukraine+Taiwan+South border is guaranteed to fail, since democrats don’t want to vote for border/immigration part, and republicans won’t vote for Ukraine without it. I guess thats the reason.
Well, this happened with South Vietnam, Syrian Kurds, Afghans and now with Ukraine. And will happen with Taiwan.
Sad but time to negotiate a truce.
I really wouldn’t freak out about this. Congress will pull the same shit they always do. Negotiate till the 11th hour where things start to look bleak and then pass the bill with minimal changes. I’ve seen this play out thousands of times, and there are still a large amount of Republicans in the house (believe it or not) who want Ukrainian aid. After all, a lot of these Biden-Republican districts have military factories employing their constituents who might not have a job anymore if Ukrainian aid ceases.
TLDR: congress is annoying and everything will play itself out correctly.
