  1. I’m assuming the plane in the field is now becoming parts in the field. Can’t imagine them starting the engines there.

  2. Next stop….spare part shortage for military aviation?

Kamakazi drones have practically the same systems. Maybe they can just strap a bunch of them to each airplane to keep civil aviation going.

  3. “Close to?” Hasn’t there already been an upsurge in mechanical failures and crashes?

  4. People forget the largest airplane repair yard for Russia used to be in Germany LOL

  5. If I had a nickel for every time something was supposed to collapse in Russia I would be a rich man.

  6. While the situation might be concerning, it’s important to remember that aviation safety is a global concern. Ensuring the maintenance and availability of spare parts for aircraft is crucial for safe operations. Hopefully, this issue can be resolved swiftly through diplomatic means, as a compromised civil aviation system is not just a problem for Russia but could have broader implications for international air travel as well.

  7. “Now you can enjoy an old Russian tradition without the need for a weapon by boarding a Russian plane: Russian roulette!”
