Well, considering in my state as of November 1st, gasoline costs less per mile than electricity, the chargers would not really be used very much. I was at a plaza this morning, where sometimes the EV Chargers are completely full, today was the first time ever I did not see a single car there… At least I got to charge my car without issue!
Shocker that every dollar spent on the green energy scam is a waste of
This is going to sound counter-intuitive, but some of these programs were intended to slow the economy, crowd out the private sector, and reduce inflation.
The idea was to “flatten the curve” for the hot economy and spread some growth out into the future.
>Republican opponents are now trying to shut down the administration’s efforts to build a charging network by choking off its funding. And the sluggish rollout could undermine Biden’s EV-themed reelection messaging and increase the possibility a Republican in the White House could roll back the charging network efforts in 2025.
Shocker. Takes time to setup a whole interstate of chargers and republicans in congress and each state are doing their best to thwart the effort.
This is so fucking idiotic, considering most EV drivers just charge at home 90% of the time.
It’s 20th century thinking for a 21st centruy technology..
All of this money would be better invested in public transportation.
The fast chargers in our neighborhood (Colorado) are used by Walmart trucks, Ubers and regular folks. The chargers are now becoming over crowded. We need more chargers ASAP!
Was it really spent on that?! Really?
They should just hand over the funds to Tesla and continue the NACS expansion, why push an inferior solution forward with taxpayer money!
Governments with thumbs up their asses? I am shocked.
Spent or allocated? It appears that it hasn’t been spent yet and this headline is intentionally misleading.
