Hei, I came to Norway in march and I earn about 235k until today. I lost my job and I work only foodora. I earn like 20k before taxes right now. Should I change my tax from 25% to normal? I’m afraid that I will earn less because I heard that the tax is 34.5%. what is life like with a normal tax? my girlfriend earns 35k and is also wondering whether to pass the tax on it

Go to skatteetatten.no and calculate there how much tax you need to pay
When I moved here and was trying to understand the taxes I called Skatteetaten multiple times with questions and they were really helpful and helped sort out my first tax return for me. So hopefully they’re still helpful and you should call them to ask about your situation.
