Tories aren’t stupid. They know if they can lean on Starmers Tory leanings, people will instead just vote for Tories after abandoning Labour cos “protest”.
Mogg is trolling, the actual tory strategy will not run this way. The tories in 1997 ran a very different campaign because they recognised the problem was tory voters being apathetic to Blair, whilst in the past they were very much against old labour.
So in 1997 they ran a “New Labour New Danger” campaign where it was Tony Blair’s face with the eyes peeled away to reveal evil red eyes beneath.

More and more when I look at these two parties, I’m reminded of the end of Animal Farm by George Orwell:
“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”
Has any of these buffons actually read what he wrote? Or are they just sticking with the headline edited by the paper?
