Water quality in Messukeskus – Finns take it for granted, but in many countries you can’t. That’s why this sticker exists.

  1. We actually wash the streets with the same clean drinkable water too.

  2. Personally I don’t drink the public toilet tap water, despite it being the same drinkable water as everywhere else.

The thought of poop particles on the tap from people washing their hands just gets to me.

  3. I trust the water and I trust the cleaning services.

What I don’t trust is the random kid who first licks every surface on the shopping mall and then licks the faucet, or the hepatitis junkie who decides to piss at everything just because he’s not feeling well.

  4. Twice when I was abroad I got sick from the water when I came home after months of bottled water.

  5. If that’s in a washroom, that’ll be warm to hot water which is shouldn’t be consumed… only if the tap has temperature control would it be okay to drink.

  6. Some public places only pour hot water so you can’t drink from the sink and have to go and buy water… But im an asswipe and have a tool im my pocket and turn them to cold…

  7. Ive heard you shouldnt drink the water in a foregin country even if it’s drinkable because of the different microbiome of it. Outside finland i always start with tiny sips before i drink a whole bottle. I would guess same applies to people visiting here. Might be misinformed tho.

  8. Just makes one wonder how those other countries have allowed water sources to be polluted so badly and none has gone prison for it?
