  15. This effect is exactly why Israel has been killing so many civilians, and making their lives miserable. Its quite like the Russian tactics in Grozny, its totally a war crime but not when its Israel apparently.

    I don’t really object to cold blooded ruthless tactics if that’s what it takes to win. I can understand the argument that we cared more about our soldiers lives than the enemy civilians, international law not withstanding.

    What bothers me is the hypocrisy. The West kicks up a huge stink if the Russians or the Serbs do it but suddenly its Israel using pretty much the same tactics and it goes quiet.

    Countries outside the West will notice the contradiction and the damage to Western credibility is going to be pretty hard to measure but it wont be small.

  16. Palestinian groups should be organizing, getting weapons to purge Hamas, and work with the Israeli government to do it. I know if I was a parent with children living there it would be the only acceptable option.
