A traitor on Ukrainian side was killed in Moscow.
Is there an obituary on Russian side hat honors his lifetime achievements?
Yes, it is. Probably on all regional news sites of the Shkulev group, here from Moscow:
“Bribes, protection schemes, cruel treatment of soldiers: what is Ilya Kiva known for, shot dead in the Moscow region?”

Ilya Kiva moved to Moscow in 2022
On December 6, Ilya Kiva , a Ukrainian politician who moved to Russia at the beginning of 2022, was found dead in a park in the village of Suponevo near Moscow. As reported by the Investigative Committee, the politician was killed. After an unknown person shot him, Kiva died on the spot. A criminal case has been opened.
Ilya Kiva was known for his anti-Russian views, but changed them a few years ago. Shortly before the special operation, he proposed uniting Ukraine and Russia, and then announced that he was preparing to ask for political asylum in Russia. At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada deprived Kiva of his deputy mandate, and the prosecutor’s office began an investigation under the article of high treason.
In November 2023, the Lychakivskyi District Court of Lvov found Kiva guilty on charges of public calls for the seizure of state power, treason, public use of communist symbols, as well as calls for an aggressive war. He was sentenced in absentia to 14 years in prison and put on the international wanted list.
Ilya Kiva was born on June 2, 1977 in Poltava. He entered politics in 2014, and before that he studied at the Poltava Oil Geological Prospecting College as a mechanical technician, later at the Pedagogical Institute, and even later at the Law School. He first worked at the Ukrsvyazmontazh company, later at the Donetsk Railway and at the State Road Service of Ukraine. In 2011, he took the position of deputy head of the Office for Consumer Rights Protection in the Poltava region, but he was soon arrested for bribery, and in 2013 he was fined and temporarily banned from working in the civil service.
In 2014, Ilya Kiva participated in the Maidan, where he met the leader of the Right Sector movement, recognized in Russia as an extremist organization and banned, Dmitry Yarosh. Kiva quickly became his ally and confidant during the presidential elections, and began to lead the Poltava center of the movement.
After Yarosh’s election campaign, in August 2014, Kiva became a police major and headed the “Poltavashchyna” battalion. After this he was granted amnesty. In less than six months, Kiva rose to the position of deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region – in this post he introduced the base of the “Peacemaker” project into operational work. In June 2015, he was transferred to the Kherson region, at the same time he headed the “Union of ATO Veterans”. A few months later he became the head of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the National Police of Ukraine, from where he left for the post of adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and in 2017 he became the head of trade unions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
In 2018, Ilya Kiva led the Socialist Party, which nominated him for president. But in the first round of elections, which took place in 2019, Kiva received only 0.03% of the votes.
Until 2019, Ilya Kiva maintained an active anti-Russian position, but after that his views began to change. Having joined the Opposition Platform – For Life party, which many called pro-Russian, he took part in early parliamentary elections and became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Former People’s Deputy of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk said that Kiva then rethought the events of Euromaidan.
After the start of the special military operation, Kiva called on Vladimir Zelensky to resign – he believed that negotiations were possible after the resignation of the President of Ukraine. In his latest publication in his personal Telegram channel, Ilya Kiva called Zelensky “a bastard who drowned the people in blood.”
In addition to his political activities, Ilya Kiva is known for numerous scandals. As a battalion commander, he was accused of cruel treatment of soldiers, and later of protecting smuggling. Scandals also involved open carrying of weapons, immoral behavior in parliament, discrimination, threats, fighting and a number of other offenses.”
I mean that’s an obituary.
I would only expect “We have actively tried to find someone, who would miss him.” as the closing phrase.
FAFO.
Considering official capital punishment is unlikely in this day and age, that is the next best thing, so I’ll take it. Good luck in Hell, prick.
