The things that are happening between Venezuela and Guyana are directly related to the progress of the war in Ukraine, many countries are watching the reaction of the West and what methods of attacking neighbors are most effective. And Russia militarized Venezuela from 2000s

Not really. Maduro is trying to distract his people. The whole country is going down the tubes, and this is just a diversion. The army hasn’t fought a real battle in over a hundred and fifty years. Nobody above the rank of second lieutenant has the slightest desire to leave his rather comfortable abode to go fight in the jungle. Certainly not the generals. Somebody might even get shot.
Actually… do you think we could associate Putin with Maduro in the eyes of the public? Most American conservatives despise Maduro (and they’re justified in doing so) and it might be possible to use that to our advantage.
South America at war is last thing we need 🙄
The West can’t police everything, not wanted, not needed (shouldn’t be) and not even possible. And people seem to forget that Ukraine/Russia is for many countries a personal topic. Those countries that were behind the iron curtain had to suffer soviet oppression for 45 years. For the Dutch, there is MH17. Etc.
Venezuela needs to be solved by local powers like Brazil and Colombia.
It is a hell of a coincidence that russias friends and allies (if you can call them that) are all stirring up trouble right when pootie needs the west distracted and reducing aid to Ukraine.
I am no fan of the current venezuelan government. However, the idea that what is happening in venezuela, a regular pro-forma vote on this topic, has any relation to ukraine is utter nonsense. The headline is nothing but clueless speculation and the article is a wiki article. This is bullshit and should be removed from this sub.
(by contrast, there is good evidence that the hamas attack on israel has russian links)
