Met Police sued by Good Law Project for refusal to investigate Partygate – The Big Issue

  1. They might be embarrassed to find their own officers were signing people into No 10, knowing what was taking place.

  2. All we seem to do is document and meekly mock their corruption. I will be shocked if anything of substance comes of this.

  3. Surly if the PM was at a party, (secret or not), they would have had to have been active for security reasons. Like when they stand outside number ten all day, possibly meaning that the police are also in the wrong by supporting a party with security that they knew was illegal and possibly condemning themselves in the process? After the shit they keep pulling up I would not be surprised if this was a scenario.

  4. Typical of the Met that has been officially described as institutionally corrupt by various / previous inquiries (Daniel Morgan).

Bet the Tories love having their own, well controlled, corrupt police force to do as they wish for them

  5. Considering the met police are Englands largest criminal enterprise for the last 4 decades why does any one expect them to behave in a decent and honourable manner.

They all take an oath then fail to act on it but ofcourse their bosses won’t take any action over either party.

  6. I mean, if I’m a policeman at No 10 and I see an illegal event gathering going on and organised by the PM, there is zero chance I’m intervening. There is a massive power inbalance.

The PM was recorded as part of conversations where he was asked to provide a journalist’s address to someone who wanted to attack them for what they’d written. That’s before he was PM. I’d be scared for myself.

  7. It’s a damning comment on the state of society that no-one has come up with a “Dick soft on Boris” headline yet.

  8. The police are a glorified gang, looking after their and their masters’ interests since time immemorial. They are the establishment’s monopoly on violence over the rest of us. It’s propaganda that lets us believe they’re here to serve us.
