TLDR: it seems electric rickshaws are now cheaper than their petrol counterparts, and 1/4 of the price to fill up. Naturally enough the pace of sales is increasing rapidly.
My e-bike takes 14 cents worth of electricity to fully charge and will then take 60 pounds of bike plus 170 pounds of me plus 85 pounds of trailer and gear 50 Km to a campsite and back. (62 miles) So yes, I believe it.
