Talk talk talk.
I think by now we are tired of talking.
I really think the tactics were to blame here. Shaw and Maguire were left on their own to form a back two with very little support. Dalot and Reguilon were instructed to push up the pitch, and Amrabat was left isolated in the DM role and easily pressed out of the game. Mctominay and Fernandes weren’t able to support the buildup effectively, and they didn’t offer enough of a defensive buffer for other players to form an effective back line before Bournemouth broke through.
Offensively, the play devolved back into the “donut of death” (thanks for that one, Tifo) where the ball would get played out to the touchline, a winger would send in a cross with a single target player in the box. Sometimes they’d manage to recycle possession before passing it out wide again and attempting another low percentage cross.
The players didn’t have a good game, but Bournemouth had way too easy of a time defending, pressing, and creating goal scoring opportunities. On another day Man U might have squeaked out a win, but when all of their previous wins came from similar performances, some of those games are bound to end in defeat like today.
Fairly confident, ETH is simply echoing the sentiments of every United fan out there.

It’s Sancho’s fault
Don’t know why he expects anything different.
Aww bless him.
