Any ideas why Poland has such a low rate of Covid19 cases? Restriction regime is among 4th lightest in Europe. Vaccination rate – not exceptional, population density – quite high.

We were also relatively unaffected by the Black Death so maybe there is something in the water that keeps us healthy LoL
Two possibilities:
– Low report rates. People are sick but no one is reporting it.
OR
– See Poland during the Plague and how weirdly immune it was.
OR
-Poles and their southern Neighbours are just built different ig
I’m going with the first option but you never know.
I believe a low rate of testing could be the reason. The rate was low back in 2020/2021 too despite a large number of excess deaths occuring at the same time
We are built diffrent

No one comes to Poland in winter, no one brings the virus.
It’s still a thing?
You have the answer in your question. Just read it carefully and you will know why.
Better look not at the reported cases but at the excessive mortality rate during covid period. For example, here is a [comparison](https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/excess-mortality-p-scores-projected-baseline?country=POL~FRA) of Poland with France.
